Zone Conference

Well another week plus a day has passed, how incredible is that!! This week was good, we have been able to find a few more investigators, one is more active then a lot of the members (yeah it's weird I know); one is Zsdarna she has 9 kids or 15; I don't feel like telling you how to pronounce it so you can just stumble through it like I have, hint: two syllables; And another investigator is a man who training to become a ninja warrior and has read nearly every book of scripture except the BoM, Good thing we are here then!!! They all seem real keen, we just need to find out what their true concern is and direct them to finding their answer.
Had a Zone Conference yesterday, hence why I am writing this on Tuesday the 13th/Monday the 12th. This may be my only P-day that matches up with the rest of the world, so that is fun! A few points from that are:

1. Patriarchal blessings are important, just look up what Apostles have said on them, I liked a quote by President Monson and another Apostle, who has spaced my mind. Anywhow, they are like Scripture!; prophetic statements about our lives, so read it everyday, or at least every week. It will change over time and will bring feelings and states of mind that are important for you now!!

2. The true meaning of repentance and how to apply it. While a personal topic just remember that it is to be used every day and our faith is to be unto repentance. Watch Elder Bednar's talk "We Believe in Being Chaste" and keep in mind repentance. That was incredible for me, I have learned so much from it!! I am nowhere near where I need to be, but that is ok for now because The Lord appreciates my efforts so far and that I am continuing to grow.

3. We all have choices. Well kinda explains itself, but just ask your self "What is my choice?" In The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland she is on a road that branches out and she does not know where to go. The Cheshire(?) Cat appears and asks her what is wrong and she tells him that she knows not where to go. He responds with "If you don't know where you are going, it does not matter which road you take!" and then he creepily disappears, but his little quote there, just blew my mind. We know where we are going, so just choose the correct path already!!!

4. The role of a missionary when working with members. Pretty much to build their faith. When working with members we are to build their faith to the point where they can go out and share their faith with confidence. Hooray for that I guess!
Don't really have too much else to say at the moment, it rained again for a few days and some crazy wind!!! Hid from a dog in te waka (car); going on another trade off this wednesday with the District Leader, should be fun; Did some tree pruning while a man kept telling me he was being a gnome (kept pronouncing the g); and think those are all of the safe events that have been taking place.

Overall for this week, The Lord has done everything for you, and you specifically, make him everything to you as well. Have a lovely week in Utah and the rest of the America's if anyone is out and about. I know I will out here in Aotearoa, or perhaps Te ika na Maui, or perhaps the Kauri Coast. not sure what they call themselves out here.
Kia Ngawari, love you heaps!!!!
Kia Kaha,
Elder Long
