Hello again, another week has passed and not too much has changed. One of my investigators is set for the 14th of June! Yeah, so that is something else, I really don't even know what to think about that. Hooray though, so we are moving forward with that date in mind and with hope for a sooner date. Also we just finished a transfer cycle this week, and put a roll on those rubbish bind lids, because I am still in South Auckland in the Papatoetoe Stake in the Mangere area in the Favona Road Ward! With Elder Ranaivosoa, woo! Transfer number two with him, so we are excited to keep up our work.
Went to a Come & See Fireside for the first time and it was pretty good. Unfortunately our investigator brought her child with her and she was playing the entire time and was rather distracting with her Despicable Me toy minion. But it was still really good! A really powerful talk was given by a President Reid about what is real and what is counterfeit, and how important it is to notice that. He then applied that to the Prodigal Son parable and finding out what real happiness is. We had it in the Premortal Life when we lived with our Father, but sometimes we think we can find a better happiness than the one we had that would lead to our eternal life inheritance. We'll be wrong by the way, in case you may not be sure. Our Dad loves us, but he's willing to let us go out into the world to try to find a different happiness, but in the end we'll either recognize that and use an enabling power in the Atonement to help us get back home where he will be waiting to greet us while still a far way off. Or we can die in our sins in the world, so yeah those were my thoughts on his talk. Pretty good talk.
Getting ready for this week though, should have three investigators making their baptismal covenants this weekend, so I am excited for that. Working to work with more members this week to build all of the ward's faith and not just a few's faith.

Have a good week!

Elder Long
