We had a great week!! We were dropped by one of our progressing investigators and a few of our investigators, so that was a bit of a Downer. That is alright though, some people just need some more time to come to the gospel. Our eternigator (eternal investigator) is making some progress though!!!!! And hopefully the investigator who has been coming to church for a year will be baptized this month!!!!! That would make my entire mission a success!
We hit the standard for TWE's (Talking With Everyone) this week, 140 people. Not much came from it but we left some positive experiences!! Now we just need to hit all of the other standards of the mission for a week. REally want a baptism this month, so we are going to work hard out with our main investigators and get them ready for baptism!!!
The clouds are just bigaz down here; and the rain is just crazy!!! I am at a loss of what to say now. Usually I can throw something together, but I guess not this week.
I feel weird that I leave a thought at the end of these e-mails, but I don't really know what else to do so I will share an experience.
We were meeting with a Less-Active yesterday and we are still just not too sure on how to get him back to church. He talked about not getting down on ourselves and staying awake and alert and overall just being positive about the work. Mentioned that as long as we are working hard out here, the Lord views us as a success because we are giving our 100% to him.
That was comforting to hear, even if he has no intention of giving his 100% to the Lord; that the Lord would give me a high-five and tell me that I am are doing good, you could be doing better but I am proud of you.
Just a fun little thought that I had, and some encouragement. To know that I am giving 100% of what I can to the Lord, and he blesses me for that!
Stay aware, God answers our prayers, we just have to be willing and able to find the answer. Sometimes that comes with a change of mind and heart, so keep you mind softening and a contrite spirit and the Lord will show you his power for you and through you.
